- Involved parties
- Henceforth, the two parties involved in this contract will be identified as follows:
- “The contractor”, an event organizer who wishes to hire the services of DJ Summat.
- “The artist”, DJ Summat, who will perform at the contractor’s event.
- Transport:
- The contractor must arrange transport for the artist for all events taking place outside the Canton of Geneva.
- All transport must be approved by the artist before purchase.

Flights:
- Outbound flights ****should be scheduled from Geneva after 16:00 on Fridays.
- If not possible, departure will be on Thursday with accommodation provided for the extra night. Exceptionally, additional meals caused by this will be covered by the artist.
- Only carry-on (10 kg) + under-seat luggage is required.
- Note: the artist’s EasyJet Plus number will grant a free hand luggage + seat at no cost for the contractor.
- When choosing seats, window seats are preferred in rows with extra space.
- Frequent Flyer numbers should be added when possible.

Trains
- When a train is available which lasts 4 or less hours, it will be preferred over a flight.
- Trains must depart from and arrive to Geneva’s main train station (Cornavin).

Local Transport
- The contractor must arrange transport for the artist between the arrival airport/train station and the venue.
- The contractor must arrange transport between the hotel and the venue when the distance between them exceeds 1km.

Exceptions
- In particular occasions, the artist may be needed somewhere other than Geneva before/after the contractor’s event, due to other events, personal matters, etc.
- In such cases, the artist will inform the contractor sufficiently in advance to arrange transport taking this information into account.
- The aforementioned mandatory approval by the artist of any transport proposal from the contractor will ensure no transport ticket is bought for the wrong origin/destination.
- Accommodation:
- A single or double room is required to ensure proper rest and optimal working conditions.
- If sharing the room with another performer, the artist must approve of this beforehand.
- Late checkout must be included when closing parties that extend beyond 5:00 AM on departure day.
- Promotional Material:
- The name "DJ Summat" must be used in all references and promotional materials. Utmost care should be put to avoid typos, with special attention to the double “m” in Summat.
- Meals:
- The contractor must provide the artist three meals per day.
- They do not have to be vegetarian/vegan.
- Alternatively, the artist may purchase his own meals for which he will be reimbursed by the contractor.
- Drinks:
- Water and soft drinks must be provided by the contractor to the artist during DJ sets.
- Performance Limits:
- Performance time is limited to 5 hours per night.
- Additional performance time or DJ replacement duties will incur a fee of 50€ per hour.
- Special Performances:
- The artist may offer complimentary show animations from the DJ deck, microphone presentations, and DJ services for Jack & Jill competitions.
- All required information (show group songs, participant details, and Jack & Jill rules) must be provided in advance to allow for adequate preparation.
- Technical Requirements:
- The artist will bring all necessary equipment to perform, outputting his music through RCA/TRS/XLR.
- The contractor must ensure the proper functioning of the following elements at the venue to ensure adequate sound:
- An amplifier with either RCA/TRS/XLR inputs.
- Speakers, connected to the amplifier.
- An electric socket, available for the artist, with 100-240V 50-60Hz AC.
- This requirement might be optional for short outdoor events, so long as the contractor informs the artist at least 3h in advance and the latter approves of it.
- If the contractor fails to comply with any of the above and the artist cannot perform because of it, it will be deemed the contractor’s fault and the artist should still be compensated in full (note: see Force Majeure in Cancellation Policy).
- Cancellation Policy:
- Notification Requirement: Cancellations must be communicated in writing at least 30 days before the scheduled event.
- Cancellation Fees: Cancellations 120 to 30 days before the event incur a 50% fee of the agreed performance fee. Cancellations within 30 days incur 100% of the fee. Fees may be waived for unforeseen circumstances beyond either party's control, such as natural disasters, public health emergencies, or travel restrictions.
- Rebooking Option: Upon cancellation, the organizer may rebook the artist within 12 months of the original date, subject to availability. The cancellation fee may apply toward the future booking.
- Payment of Cancellation Fees: Cancellation fees are due within 15 days of notice.
- Force Majeure: Neither party is liable for failure to perform due to Force Majeure events. The affected party must immediately notify the other party with details of the event's nature and extent. Both parties will make reasonable efforts to minimize impact.
